The Dating Circus
I’ve been in a dating slump for the last six months, and now it seems like my online profiles are on fire. My problem is that I’m now dating three different women and I’m feeling guilty and dishonest. I haven’t made any commitments to exclusivity, but I still feel like a bad person.
Should a person with dating options feel badly about it? Absolutely not! There’s nothing wrong with going out with multiple people- you’re just in the discovery phase of the relationship hunt. As you get to know these “candidates”, you’ll determine which one has the potential for being the main attraction. Make your cuts accordingly and in time you’ll choose who gets top billing. Have fun and choose wisely!
I’ve had a few dates with a great lady. I really like her, but from our conversations I’ve learned she doesn’t like pets, especially cats. I have two. She knows it and is dismissive whenever I bring up my fur-babies.
Pre-existing pets enter a new relationship too. If your date doesn’t like pets and the relationship progresses, you’ll end up with a partner that doesn’t like pets. If you’re an animal person, that sure doesn’t sound fun. I suggest inviting your date over for dinner and a chance to meet your “kids”. Gauge their interaction and discuss it. Maybe she's never been around pets before and simply isn't accustomed to animals. Perhaps the "big cats" will do the taming and have your potential new love purring!
My boyfriend and I decided to be exclusive after six months of dating. I recently discovered he’s still on all the apps and is hooking up with others. I feel like a joke.
You’re not a joke- you’re just dating a clown. If he’s doing this early in the relationship, it doesn’t bode well for the future. I would cut my losses and trade in Bozo for another act in the Big Top.
